Project Steps

The project will last two years and it is divide into three steps. Stage 1 and 2 will be carried out by two independent accredited certification bodies: SAI Global in France and Acoura Marine in Spain. They will be supported by local experts.

Stage 1: Mapping

  • Mapping and description of 50 fisheries in each country
  • Identification of relevant stakeholders and markets

Stage 2: Pre-assesments

  • Pre-assessment of selected Fisheries using MSC criteria
  • Gap analysis: identification of strenghts and weaknesses

Stage 3: Action Plans

  • Action plans formulated
  • Encouragement of partnerships fisheries-market ________________________________________________________
